Weatherday is the noise-pop project of Swedish lo-fi artist Sputnik. Their cult-acclaimed album Come in (2019) has garnered them a dedicated following through its harsh lo-fi bedroom pop sound, tangled with threads of emo and DIY. Hornet Disaster (2025), Weatherday’s spiritual successor to their previous releases, encompasses a complete, overarching narrative, that coherently ties back to their previous work. The album is signature Weatherday — urgent, noisy, erratic, and playful — but also hints at shifts in songwriting and production, extending the knotted, thrashing maximalism of Come in by doubling down with an uncompromised, no-stone-unturned nature. Where Come in was the product of an artist searching for their voice, Hornet Disaster represents the joyful abandon that comes from having found it.

Pennwood Rd. is an international quartet from Chile, Sweden and Germany that came together in spring 2024 in Leipzig. Inspired by the Midwest Emo sound of the 90s, their sound combines different musical backgrounds and brings the DIY ethic of the genre into the present.

Der verlorene Faden (literal translation: The lost thread) is a feminist noise artist based in Leipzig. Using a bass guitar, metal percussion and a whole lot of delay and distortion gear, she weaves alienation and rage into an improvised wall of noise. Her voice struggles to be heard at the top of its lungs and is always on the brink of being drowned out by this constant passing between analogue and digital noise.
