Montreal’s The Franklin Electric, led by Jon Matte, has grown from a personal outlet into an indie folk household name with a devoted international following. Following two intense years of touring, including four European tours this year and the release of their latest LP Victory Songs, the Franklin is in the midst of a powerful second wave, reconnecting with hearts of audiences in all corners of the world. The band is coming home for shows at Montreal’s MTelus and Quebec City’s Impérial Bell, and looking forward to a headlining Europe & UK tour in the spring of 2026.
Support: Luke Noa
It’s not every day you get to record your debut album with the drummer from the band that shaped your teenage years—but that’s exactly what happened to Luke Noa.
In the spring of 2024, he began work on his first full-length LP, teaming up with renowned drummer Chris Maas, celebrated for his work with Sting, Mumford & Sons, and Maggie Rogers.
"This collaboration has been a dream come true, and the record wouldn’t be anywhere near where it is now without Chris," the 26-year-old singer-songwriter reflects, thinking back to their immersive week-long recording session.
Releasing a debut LP is a milestone for any artist, and Luke marks this moment with an honest, intimate, and comforting eight-track collection. "Début" stands as a vivid snapshot of his musical journey so far—a testament to his unmistakable voice and instinctive sense for timeless sound.
Luke has toured through Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and has been handpicked to open for internationally acclaimed artists including Matt Corby, Amistat, Curtis Harding, and Mighty Oaks.
