Sunfear + Dane Joe

As part of our 15 years celebration event series culminating in our party in September we present Sunfear + Dane Joe

Sunfear is a Turkish musician and sound artist based in Berlin, moving through the hum between presence and erosion, feedback curling into itself, voices swallowed by circuits, a signal unraveling through tangled wires. Her music blends immersive, drone/heavy soundscapes with layers of noise, shaping vast, textured compositions where chaos and beauty dissolve into one another. Since 2017, Sunfear has carved out a space in the experimental music scene, using hardware, improvisation, and distortion as a means to navigate the boundaries of sound and emotion. Her work often feels like a journey through dark, expansive sonic landscapes, where everything moves toward disappearance, yet lingers, refracts, returns. Under the curatorial hand of Rhizomorph, these sonics expand, bleeding into light, dissolving into frames, a noise that flickers through shadow. 

Dane Joe (Adi) is a Jerusalem born/Berlin-based composer, producer, DJ and promoter. She is a part of the bands Jealous and the Tarts. She is co-founder of Baby Satan Records and DJ for Refuge Worldwide. “Dane Joe” is a solo project of ambient/creepy-pop using field recordings, electronic drums, spacey synths, distorted surf guitar and witchy mumbles. It's dark poetry with a soundscape based on urban sounds (using samples of public transpiration and washing machines) along with half-danceable electro beats and heavy synth sound.
