Endlich ist es wieder so weit: Musik unter freiem Himmel auf unserer schönen Outdoor-Bühne! Wir freuen uns auf eine weitere Saison voller Sonne, guter Stimmung und kalter Getränke auf dem Spiegelplatz. Lasst uns das Opening gemeinsam tanzend und feiernd einläuten, mit Gleis 11, DJ Vanilla Panzer und DJ Süperfly.

Gleis 11 

[DE] Gleis 11 ist eine Band, die das kulturelle Erbe der türkischen Gastarbeiter in Deutschland miteinander verwebt. Mit ihrer Musik fangen sie das Herz und die Seele der Gastarbeitererfahrung über Generationen hinweg ein. Die Band besteht aus Musikern, die Söhne und Enkel der ersten Gastarbeiter sind, die in den 1960er- und 1970er-Jahren nach Deutschland kamen, sowie aus Mitgliedern einer neuen Einwandererwelle, die nach Deutschland gekommen ist. Gleis 11 verbindet anatolische Volkstraditionen mit Psychedelic Rock und schafft so einen Sound, der sowohl im Erbe der anatolischen Rockmusik verwurzelt als auch von der Gegenwart geprägt ist. Mit ihrer Musik würdigt Gleis 11 das Vermächtnis der türkischen Gastarbeiter und bietet gleichzeitig eine neue Perspektive auf Migration, Identität und Zugehörigkeit.

[EN] Gleis 11 is a band that weaves together the cultural fabric of Turkish guest workers in Germany. Through their music, they capture the heart and soul of the guest worker experience across generations. The band is made up of musicians who are the sons and grandsons of the first guest workers who came to Germany in the 1960s and 1970s, as well as members of a new wave of immigrants who have arrived in Germany. Blending Anatolian folk traditions with psychedelic rock, Gleis 11 creates a sound that is both rooted in the heritage of Anatolian rock music and shaped by the present.With their music, Gleis 11 honors the legacy of Turkish guest workers while offering a fresh perspective on migration, identity, and belonging.

[EN] Welcome to Gleis 11! Coming in: a mix of migrant workers’ sounds, from Balkan polka and Türküola rock to bouzouki punk. Topped with a layer of crema italiana, and over there the Orient Express is already waiting. In the (record) case: a sense of setting off, nostalgia, life away from home – and a heart that dances.

[DE] Aufgewachsen in zwei „Funky Towns“ – München und Istanbul – erforscht Süperfly aka Tuncay Acar die tiefsten Tiefen des Norientalismus, indem er permanent die Grenzen von kulturellen, ethnischen, geographischen, chronologischen und fiktiven Regionen und musikalischen Genres überschreitet. Das Ziel ist es, die omnipräsente Dominanz von Identitätskonzepten in der Tanzmusik zu dekonstruieren, um Platz zu schaffen für die unbefangene transkulturelle Ekstase.Seine exquisite Vinylsammlung erweitert er durch digitale Fundstücke aus verschiedenen Genres: Kurdischer Halay, Gazinomüzik, Arabesk, Anatolian & Arabian Psychedelia, Electro- undHip Hop-Mashups, Edits und Remixes von mediterranen anatolischen, mesopotamischen oder levantinischen Psychedelic-Klassikern, Schlager aus der Türkei, Griechenland, Iran, Palästina, Ägypten, Maghreb, Nordafrika, dem Balkan und auch aus Memphis/Tennessee amalgamieren zusammen mit einer Prise Latin Boogaloo im Sud der Leidenschaft und der Hitze des Südostens.
