AFRORACK
Brian Bamanya, aka Afrorack, is a Ugandan producer and self-taught electronics innovator behind Africa’s first DIY modular synthesizer. When commercial gear proved inaccessible, he built his own system—The Afrorack—using open-source schematics and local parts. His debut album (The Afrorack, Hakuna Kulala, 2022) merges modular synthesis with East African rhythms, acid, and experimental electronics. Known for raw, improvised live sets, Bamanya has performed at CTM, Rewire, Bad Bonn Kilbi, and Sinsal, and regularly leads workshops and talks.

HALOSAUR
Stephane Lefrancois, aka Halosaur, is a French-born, Berlin-based producer, sound artist, and educator whose work spans techno, ambient, jazz, and modular synthesis. Beginning as a drummer in 1990s Paris before studying audio engineering in Canada, he developed a distinctive approach that blends polyrhythmic depth, dub textures, and cinematic atmospheres. A longtime modular synthesis enthusiast, Halosaur crafts intricate, immersive live sets, and shares his expertise through workshops and courses. His releases—on labels such as Compost, BBE, and Sony—move fluidly between dancefloor pressure and abstract storytelling, bridging emotional depth with sonic precision.
