Das 2019 gegründete georg katzer ensemble besteht aus jungen, exzellenten Instrumentalist:innen. Mit drei Uraufführungen von Dustin Zorn, Fabian Zeidler und Reinhard Lippert sowie Werken von Liza Lim und Charlotte Seither begeben sie sich in das Spannungsfeld zwischen Individualität und Kollektiv. Im Fokus ihrer Arbeit steht die Zusammenarbeit mit Berliner Komponist:innen ihrer Generation, die sie in Beziehung zu Werken etablierter Komponist:innen setzen.

Founded in 2019, the georg katzer ensemble comprises young, excellent instrumentalists. With three world premieres by Dustin Zorn, Fabian Zeidler and Reinhard Lippert as well as works by Liza Lim and Charlotte Seither, they explore the opposing poles between individuality and the collective. Their work focuses on collaborations with Berlin composers of their generation, which they relate to works by established composers.
