"Youth culture, DIY, right now! (but friendly, absurd and silly). This is the vibe within the music community "new basement". With great role models from various teen rock scenes (Brixton/London, Chicago, Melbourne, Seoul, Philadelphia etc.), the young members decided to redfine many things within the local music scene for themselves. The goal is to play shows and meet new friends, create connections between local bands and friends from out of town. This time with a very special lineup: the incredible band Rosa Vertov from Warsaw and the brand new project Stabat Kater from Munich.

Rosa Vertov (slowcore/dreampop)

Distorted guitars immersed in reverb, resonant, vibrating bass, trancey drums with a distinctive floor tom presence, ghostly organ, ethereal voices. Dissonant, restless compositions soaked in melancholy that send listeners into a dreamlike world.

Warsaw-based Rosa Vertov have been performing since 2015, which has allowed their original material to take an increasingly disturbing shape with subsequent gigs and releases. Although they may appear as a fairly classic instrumental ensemble, their compositions are fragmented by their innovative approach to form, dynamics and speed; and their music is a special, personal letter inviting you to enter their own, self-governed dreamlike non-reality.

Stabat Kater (post punk/shoegaze)

Stabat Kater is a new name in town. A project much anticipated by all of us with the willingness to experiment but also to incorporate personal influences. With dark melodies and sobering lyrics Stabat Kater will get through to anyone. The project is lively and multifaceted. Both atmosphere and music merge into one another, are one together, but nothing by itself - almost like a mirror of an urban landscape.
