This diasporic sextet isknown for igniting dancefloors and driving audiences into a state of ecstatic joy. With El Vuelo del Babrik, Los Babriks deliver a captivating debut – a vibrant blend of Colombian, Peruvian, and other South American musical influences.  Deeply rooted in the guitar-heavy Chicha style and enriched with Reggae elements—most notably in the distinctive organ melodies—the band, led by Mauricio-Joran Ceseña, crafts a unique sound that transports listeners to the golden era of Cumbia and Chicha. The songs stand out through precise instrumentation and exceptional songwriting. Melodic guitar lines form the core of the music, complemented by an organ that explores lush, psychedelic soundscapes. Driving percussion and a steady bassline provide a powerful foundation, carrying the hypnotic groove of each track. Recording sessions at QuingHu’s Studio were led by Ceseña, who shaped the album’s signature sound. Special highlights come from Héctor Tapia Castillo, who not only singt and added expressive vocal textures to the songs but also performed most of the percussion parts of the album, bringing both diversity and a personal touch to the record. Cosmica Bandida’s radio show and Dj set  El Cometa Sónico is a reunion of sounds that influence the band’s musical practice. The music selection made specially for radio listeners explores dark cumbia and psychedelic music that collides on Bavarian soil in this sonic comet full of music that engages the body. From the confines of Peruvian fuzzy punk to nostalgic reggaeton perreo and new aggressive afrobeat electro llega El Cometa Sónico.
