LIGHT ASYLUM is the internationally revered techno-punk music project of vocalist, producer Shannon Funchess founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2007. Captivating audiences with cathartic performances, LIGHT ASYLUM emerged in 2009 at the forefront of a movement turned full blown revival of late 70’s to 90’s electronic music inspired by pioneers of Detroit techno, Belgian new beat, EBM, gothic rock, Chicago house, new wave and synth pop.
