[DE] Als Golden Diskó Ship bewegt sich die in Berlin ansässige Multiinstrumentalistin Theresa Stroetges an den Rändern der experimentellen Musik, erkundet aber auch die Möglichkeiten bewährter Strukturen. Ihr kommendes fünftes Album »Oval Sun Patch« ist vielleicht ihr eingängigstes bisher. Beeinflusst von der Clubkultur und fortschrittlicher elektronischer Musik, ist ihr unkonventioneller Pop-Sound beatgetrieben, verspielt, atmosphärisch und mitunter geradezu hymnisch.

[EN] As Golden Diskó Ship, the Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Theresa Stroetges moves through the fringes of experimental music, but also explores the possibilities of tried and tested formulas. Her upcoming fifth album »Oval Sun Patch« is perhaps her catchiest to date. Drawing on influences from club culture and advanced electronic music, her unconventional pop sound is beat-driven, playful, atmospheric, and at times thoroughly anthemic.

[DE] Abwechslungsreich wird es mit den beiden Münchner Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstädter*innen im Reich des Analog-Digitalen: dabei wird gecodet, gebratscht, gesynthet und gesungen. Nichts ist Glump zu schade, um daraus keinen Sound zu machen. Sound, der Melodien wie Federn manchmal einfängt, oft aber auch frei fliegen lässt. Zurück bleibt am Ende die Erfahrung, dass allem Traurigen auch etwas Schönes innewohnt.

[EN] Things get diverse with the two artists from Munich’s Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district in the realm of the analog-digital: there’s live coding, viola playing, synthesizing, and singing. Nothing is too junky to be turned into sound. Sound that sometimes catches melodies like feathers, but often lets them fly free. What remains in the end is the experience that even in sadness, there is something beautiful.

[DE] Vor dem Konzert: DJ Mighty Mess startet ihre Klangreise mit einer wilden Mischung aus Verträumtem, Verzerrtem und Kratzigem. Gepaart mit einer Dosis Geschrammel und Gepolter wird der Abend zu einem sommerlichen Spritzgetränk, vielfältig durchmischt mit altbekanntem wie eigenwilligen Sounds aus Shoegaze, Kraut, Indie, C86 und Avantgarde.

[EN] Before the concert: DJ Mighty Mess kicks off her sonic journey with a wild mix of dreamy, distorted, and scratchy sounds. Combined with a dose of fuzz and lo-fi grit, the evening turns into a summery spritz cocktail, richly mixed with familiar and offbeat sounds from shoegaze, kraut, indie, C86, and avant-garde.
