Acrobatic Duo Trapeze Workshop || Technical & Artistic Exploration

Intermediate // Advanced Levels

Join us at the Aerial Arts Festival in Berlin for a 3 hour Acrobatic Aerial Duo Workshop where we will learn, refine and master duo trapeze specific acrobatic techniques. As well as acquiring a variety of new skills, you will be encouraged to push your creative boundaries and discover a unique vocabulary to flow seamlessly with your aerial duo partner.

Here is an insight into the training session :

·   -  General activation & specific warm-up on trapeze

·   -  120 minutes of technical work : duo specific exercises & drills, refining basics & existing

vocabulary, aerial flow work & mastering short sequences, etc.

·   -  30 minutes of guided artistic research

·   -  Specific conditioning to end the training session!

Prerequisites

- Excellent physical condition
- Extensive aerial or acrobatic experience
- Porters are comfortable in the catcher’s position for long periods of time - Flyers have great core strength

Marie-Christine Fournier has over 17 years of extensive experience in the circus industry as a trapeze artist, including a decade touring with Cirque Du Soleil and collaborating with world-renowned companies such as The 7 Fingers and Cirque Eloize, has allowed me to develop a wide range of technical, artistic and methodological skills.

Over the past few years, after receiving my Circus Arts Teacher Certification from the Montreal National Circus School, I have built an exciting teaching portfolio. Travelling from North America to many countries in Europe, I have taught circus school classes, private lessons, workshops, masterclasses and retreats in Costa Rica, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, England, USA and Canada to students of all levels as well as professional circus artists.

Thanks to this personal journey and these unique life experiences, I'm delighted to be able to pass on to my students not only technical knowledge, but also a deeper and more enriching understanding of the world of circus arts, which I enthusiastically share in my workshops.
