Über die Veranstaltung

(Dis)comfort Zone English Comedy Show

Aladdin & Andrej are outsiders who made a life in Berlin without fully fitting in.
Discomfort Zone is their comedy invitation: leave your comfort zone at the door and step into theirs. Learn what it actually means to adapt — the culture shock, the small victories, the moments you scream at your neigbour for throwing out the garbage wrong..Aladdin & Andrej might be uncomfrotable, but they never felt more at home.

The show is FREE ENTRY 🆓

Pay what you want (recommended 10-15 euros)

About us:

Aladdin Alghafri (yes, like the Disney one) is a Berlin-based comedian from Damascus.

Since escaping syrian dictatorship to be an engineer at Deutsche Bahn wasn't funny enough - he turned to stand-up. While being a regular on Berlin’s comedy stages, he co-founded Halunke Comedy Salon, where he co-runs his weekly shows. He opened for famous comedians such as Shahak Shapira, perforemed at Fusion Festival and he recently won the Grandslam Comedy Contest in Hamburg.

With an innocent face and a disarming smile, Aladdin dives into the absurd truths behind Arab and German stereotypes — sharp, dark, and weirdly relatable for both locals and Ausländer.

Andrej Ivanov is a Berlin-based comedian working as a software engineer during the day and a comedian by night. He is the winner of the Berlin New Standup Award in 2024, the host of a weekly comedy show called “On the spot comedy”, and most importantly the former captain of the math team of his country.

He shares his unique perspective of coming from a small country no one knows about, being a math prodigy kid, having extremely supportive parents, adapting to Berlin and much more … all delivered with witty punchlines and innocent golden retriever energy. Andrej is not afraid to show his insecurities and turn them into superpowers, jumping from self-deprecation to ridiculous bravado that will keep you on edge of your seat.
