Prächtige Elbparks, herrschaftliche Villen, repräsentative Kontorhäuser, rentable Manufakturen und einträgliche Schiffswerften gehörten zur Lebenswelt der global agierenden Kaufmänner in Altona. Dieser postkoloniale Stadtrundgang beleuchtet die Spuren der großbürgerlichen Kolonialhandelsherren und Menschenhändler Altonas. Hannimari Jokinen spürt durch ihre intensive Recherche den Schicksalen der Menschen nach, die versklavt und kolonisiert wurden und erzählt Geschichten des antikolonialen Widerstands.

Recherche, Konzept und Durchführung Hannimari Jokinen
Magnificent parks at the Elbe, wealthy villas, prestigious office buildings, profitable manufactories and lucrative shipyards were all part of the life of the globally active merchants in Altona. This post-colonial city tour illuminates the traces of Altona's upper-class colonial merchants and human traffickers. Through her intensive research, Hannimari Jokinen traces the fates of the people who were enslaved and colonized and tells stories of anti-colonial resistance.
